SAN DIEGO, Calif. – San Diego-based Trigild – which specializes in receivership, management and consulting services – has named John B. Beazley, CHA, as managing director, hospitality.
In his new positions, Beazley oversees the operations of hotels, restaurants and other types of enterprise businesses, working closely with the corporate office while leading Trigild’s field based operations team. In addition to directing business operations, Beazley is a key member of the executive team and plays a key role in long-term corporate planning and acquisitions.
According to Trigild president and CEO Bill Hoffman, Beazley is a 30-year hospitality industry veteran who brings extensive expertise in hotel management, finance and operations to the Trigild executive team. "John’s background and credentials will be invaluable as we continue to add more hotels to our growing portfolio of distressed and long-term managed properties," said Hoffman. Over the years, Trigild has operation 200 hotels and resorts.
Prior to joining Trigild, Beazley was executive vice president of Pacifica Hotel Company, which operates a portfolio of hotels, restaurants, resorts and marinas along the Pacific coast and in Hawaii and Florida. During his 16 years with the Santa Barbara, Calif.-based company, Beazley directed a series of multi-million dollar hotel renovations, as well as successfully repositioned dozens of properties in which he built asset values and generated solid investor returns.
Beazley is no stranger to Trigild. He worked for the company for six years in the late 80s and early 90s, as vice president of operations. He started his hospitality career with Stouffer Corporation where he served in a variety of positions, including restaurant management, director of food in locations across the country. He also served as general manager for properties including the Kona Kai/Plaza Las Glorias Resort and Marina in San Diego and the Financial Plaza Hilton in Oxnard. "John brings a wealth of experience and know-how to the table. We’re delighted to have him back," said Hoffman.
A Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA), Beazley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in hotel and restaurant management from the University of Wisconsin.
