SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Real Estate Forum, one of the nation’s preeminent commercial real estate publications, recently announced the winners of its annual 40 under 40 Tribute – a salute to the country’s best and brightest young industry professionals – recognizing Trigild’s Jason Hull.

Real Estate Forum editors pored over nearly 300 nominations this year, narrowing them down to the 41 industry leaders, including lawyers, brokers and finance experts.

As Trigild’s managing director of commercial real estate, Hull, a former U.S. Navy SEAL, is a well deserving honoree. Since joining Trigild in 2008, he has maximized value on over $4 billion in distressed commercial real estate for special servicers and lenders, and currently oversees all Trigild-managed commercial real estate assets. He has been instrumental in the company’s phenomenal growth over the last few years and is currently responsible for overseeing all Trigild-managed real estate assets, as well as developing new business opportunities.

Recent high profile Trigild projects in which he has been closely involved include The Bethany portfolio of apartments in Arizona, Vornado assets of five large furniture warehouses in North Carolina, The Towers at Bella Terra in Orange County and The Mervyn’s portfolio of 26 big box locations in four states.

Prior to joining Trigild, he was a senior acquisition director with a real estate private equity firm that acquires distressed debt and real estate, and was also a development coordinator and senior analyst with Cherokee Investment Partners, which specializes in mixed use developments of environmentally contaminated properties.

In addition to his considerable skills in real estate management, operations and strategic planning. Hull served for over six years as a U.S. Navy SEAL — and was decorated for valor in both Afghanistan and Iraq. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he earned his MBA at Duke University.

He is affiliated with the Urban Land Institute and the NAIOP, and coaches youth basketball and lacrosse in his off-time.
