KEYNOTE SPEAKERS SET FOR ANNUAL TRIGILD LENDER CONFERENCE
Robert Guest, Sam Chandan, Don Sheets to Provide Unique Commentary on Today’s Turbulent Global Economy, Commercial Real Estate Markets
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Lending a unique perspective on Brexit and its potential impact on the U.S. economy and commercial real estate market, Robert Guest, foreign editor for The Economist, will join noted economist Sam Chandan, Ph.D. and industry expert Don Sheets as a keynote speaker at the 16th Annual Trigild Fall Lender Conference, set for October 5 to 7 at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego.
According to conference founder and Trigild president Judy Hoffman, speakers will present an erudite and compelling commentary on the global economy, with Chandan providing his unique take on commercial real estate issues.
“We are excited to have Sam, Robert and Don provide their latest views on how turbulent world and national affairs are impacting the finance and real estate industries,” Hoffman said. “This year we should have some particularly interesting discussions, especially in light of the presidential election.”
Hundreds of participants will convene to hear Guest, Chandan, Sheets and leading commercial real estate and finance industry leaders, address topics related to the economy, finance, commercial real estate and the lending industries at the annual San Diego conference.
Guest was previously U.S editor for The Economist – one of the world’s most respected and influential news magazines – and in his current role as foreign editor, oversees the magazine’s global coverage.
Well known in the commercial real estate industry for his keen knowledge of fiscal policy and capital and credit markets, as well as the relationship between the economy, regulation and market performance, Chandan’s presentation each year marks a compelling culmination to the conference. An adjunct professor at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, he is president/founder and chief economist for Chandan Economics.
Managing Partner of AlumCreek Holdings, Sheets pioneered a proprietary financing mechanism that produced, for the first time since the RTC Era, a liquidating trust pass-through securitization secured primarily by performing and sub-performing commercial mortgage debt.
For the 16th consecutive year, the annual Trigild Lender Conference will draw a full slate of industry leaders to San Diego, with 12 educational sessions and more than 50 speakers and panelists.
Aimed at lenders, special servicers, legal counsel, investors, real estate fund managers, and loan buyers, the conference will include highly valuable, up-to-the-minute information, as well as networking opportunities.
