Executive Team

Our talented team includes a staff of operations, property managers, asset managers, attorneys, CPAs, and specialists in finance, technology, risk management and forensic accounting– all with the knowledge and experience to handle complex operational, financial and legal issues in the commercial real estate and multifamily industries.

David Wallace

Based in Dallas, David Wallace, General Counsel, oversees Trigild’s entire legal team, handling court-ordered receiverships for commercial, multi-family, convenience and gas, hospitality and other asset classes across the nation. He also resolves distressed loans and preserves assets as a court-appointed fiduciary – leading the legal team in fiduciary assignments in bankruptcy, state, and federal courts.

With experience in workouts related to both CMBS and balance sheet loans, as well as transactions involving private equity, REITs, and sovereign wealth funds, Wallace also leads a team of real estate asset managers, property managers, property accountant and accounting and law firms in the bankruptcy liquidation of a $1.6 billion real estate portfolio. That portfolio includes more than 100 companies with equity and/or management interests in 45 commercial and multi-family properties located throughout the country.

Additionally, he has overseen and served as lead counsel in a number of fraudulent transfer actions with ultimate recoveries in the tens of millions of dollars. His experience in bankruptcy courts includes trying a number of adversary proceedings and arguing many contested hearings throughout various jurisdictions across the country. With extensive trial experience, Wallace also prosecuted more than 20 cases to guilty verdicts in jury trials on behalf of the City of Plano, Texas.

Prior to joining Trigild, Wallace worked as a financial analyst and was also an attorney with Fulbright & Jaworski, LLP – representing a  broad range of clients in both litigation and transactional matters, as well as a number of master and special servicers in connection with CMBS loan transactions and workouts.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas Christian University and a J.D. from Southern Methodist University.

 

Aaron Kudla

Aaron J. Kudla, Senior Legal Counsel, is an essential part of Trigild’s legal team, handling court-ordered receivership and bankruptcy trustee appointments. Additionally, he provides legal, forensic accounting, real estate and taxation advice for Trigild, including a current bankruptcy liquidating trustee appointment over a $1.6 billion real estate portfolio that includes more than 100 companies with equity and/or management interests in 45 commercial and multi-family properties located throughout the country.

Additionally, Kudla handles complex real estate Ponzi schemes, lender fraud, embezzlement, valuation, money laundering and other fraud cases.  He has advised clients dealing with Ponzi schemes involving fraudulent mortgages sold to investors for commercial real estate, fraudulent ownership of development companies building multiple residential housing projects, and fraudulent sale and leasing of ATM machines.

He also handles complex real estate transactional matters and operational services for businesses in banking, finance, medical, liquor distributors and retailers, restaurants, shopping centers, agriculture, dairy, auto dealerships and many other industries.

A California licensed attorney, certified public accountant and licensed real estate broker.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from California State University Fullerton, a J.D., with a concentration in intellectual property, telecommunications and technology regulation from California Western School of Law, and associate’s degrees in accounting and real estate from Palomar College.

 

Nancy Daniels

With 25 years of broad based real estate experience, Nancy Daniels is responsible for Trigild’s commercial portfolio of office, industrial, retail, and multi-family properties.  Her extensive background in commercial development includes all aspects of the real estate life cycle -- acquisition, project design, entitlement, financial modeling, land development, commercial construction, property management, leasing, sales and disposition.

Prior to joining Trigild, she held key roles with several Southern California commercial real estate firms, exercising primary responsibility for entitlement, development, and sale of over $250 million in commercial properties.  Specializing in office and industrial, she has developed properties from land acquisition through build out, including the 620,000 sf build-to-suit for Professional Hospital Supply, which merged a Class A office with the company’s main distribution center.

In her current role at Trigild, she is known for creating value in her portfolio through strategic leasing, capital improvements, and targeted management.  Her expertise is evidenced by being awarded the NAIOP Inland Empire “Office Transaction of the Year” for a 232,176 sf lease negotiated with Inland Empire Medical Plan in less than 30 days, and her success in closing receivership sales in excess of $100 million dollars, including the Atrium building, which was sold at 13% over broker generated offers, resulting in a $6 million increase in purchase price.

Nancy holds a Bachelor degree in economics from the University of California, San Diego and is a licensed real estate broker in California.

 

Spencer Ruberti

As Asset Manager, Ruberti is responsible for the oversight of a portfolio of office, industrial, retail, multifamily, and self-storage assets throughout the Western United States.  During his tenure with Trigild, he’s worked on more than 50 assets totaling more than two million square feet and over $200 million in total value. His primary goal is to develop and execute strategies that most efficiently maximize asset value, with responsibilities including the creation of annual operating budgets, review of monthly financial statements, and negotiation of lease/sale documents.

In addition to his role as an asset manager, he is a key member of Trigild’s relationship management team, working to develop new business and contacts by interfacing with past, present, and future clients. He also aids in the creation of presentations for potential clients related to specific assets -- gathering and incorporating local market data and applying industry knowledge to develop a recommended strategy to improve asset value.

Ruberti began at Trigild in 2010 as an assistant to the marketing and operations departments, and soon moved up to the operations team as a full time analyst, before his promotion to asset manager in 2012.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management.

 

Sara Caravello

With a background in accounting and finance, Caravello is responsible for a portfolio of real estate assets located throughout the United States – concentrating on operational oversight and client relations as well as maximizing property value, net income and loan recovery.  Her specific responsibilities include the underwriting and negotiation of new leases, budget creation, operating expense reconciliation and financial statement review.

In 2015 Sara relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, and has been promoted to Trigild’s asset manager for the East Coast.

Throughout her career, Caravello has overseen over one million square feet of commercial real estate -- including office, retail and industrial -- and more than 1,000 multifamily units.
Caravello began as a property accountant at Trigild in 2011 and was promoted to the operations team in 2012.  Prior to joining Trigild, she gained in depth multifamily experience at Fairfield Residential – starting as a leasing agent and working her way up the ranks to assistant property manager of a lease-up building of over 400 units.

She holds a master’s degree from San Diego State University, a bachelor’s degree in finance from California State University of Sacramento, and is a licensed California real estate agent.

 

Bill Hoffman

Bill Hoffman is CEO of Trigild - a leading fiduciary, hospitality, and commercial real estate services firm – that he founded in 1976.  He has handled over 800 Receivership and Bankruptcy Trustee appointments for over 2,500 real estate and business assets throughout North America and the Caribbean. Recent appointments include an ATM sale-leaseback Ponzi scheme for the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission, a food processing plant, a tenants-in-common syndication company, and hundreds of hotels, office, retail, shopping centers, residential projects, restaurants, golf courses, and a variety of businesses.

Hoffman is an attorney, admitted to both California and New York Bar Associations, a licensed real estate broker and former Adjunct Professor at San Diego State University. He was also an active participant in the American Bar Association’s Uniform Law Committee that wrote the “Uniform Commercial Real Estate Receivership Act” currently before many state legislative bodies for approval. He is a frequent lecturer at conferences, and authored the “Trigild Deskbook” – a state-by-state guide to receivership and bankruptcy laws.

Hoffman is also co-founder of the Trigild Lender Conferences, the bi-annual preeminent symposiums for professionals who work with non-performing commercial loans. He has written over one hundred articles for numerous legal, finance, hospitality, real estate, business, and general publications. He is often interviewed on subjects including commercial real estate, hotels, receivership and bankruptcy for various media, including The Wall Street Journal, National Real Estate Investor, the Los Angeles Times, Bloomberg News, Real Estate Forum, the New York Times, GlobeSt.com, Newsday, and a variety of business and trade journals.

 

Judy Hoffman

A longtime Trigild principal, Judy Hoffman provides strategic leadership for the company and together with its executive committee, implements long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies.  Additionally, she directs hundreds employees in regional offices throughout the country, with a focus on managing and maximizing value for assets in industries including hospitality, multifamily, office, industrial, retail and more. Hoffman joined the company in 1984 and before becoming president, served in numerous capacities including directing all new business and marketing activities for hundreds of hotels and restaurants. Additionally, she was instrumental in developing the nationally renowned Trigild Lender Conferences, to be held for the 16th year in San Diego and the sixth year in Dallas. With her direction and vision, the event has become the distressed commercial loan industry’s premier symposium for insight on dealing with non-performing loan portfolios.

Over the years, Hoffman has been involved in the management of over 2,500 hospitality, commercial and multifamily properties and 700 receivership and bankruptcy assignments and has been consistently recognized for her efforts and successes within the real estate industry. She was named one of Real Estate Forum magazine’s “Women of Influence” for four consecutive years and named one of the San Diego Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business.”

She is an active member of CREW Network, the industry's premier business networking organization dedicated to supporting the achievements of women in commercial real estate, and has served on CREW’s programs committee to create insightful educational programs and dynamic networking events for members and their guests. She is also a member of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council, the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International, the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders and the Risk Management Association.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University and has done post-graduate course work at University of California at San Diego in Finance, Business Management and Marketing.

 

Bonita Paysour

As the Director of Marketing for Trigild, Ms. Paysour oversees all Trigild marketing efforts including public relations, event marketing, website management/development, social media and email marketing. Ms. Paysour produces the annual Trigild Fall Lender Conference and the Trigild Spring Lender Conference. In addition to her marketing efforts for Trigild, she also provides marketing support to properties under Trigild management, including office buildings, hotels, multifamily complexes and self-storage facilities.

Prior to Trigild, Ms. Paysour directed the marketing strategy for an international franchise B2B consulting firm. She was responsible for not only the corporate/franchise brand marketing but also worked with the member consultants in promoting their business. Under her direction the company provided webinars, seminars and conferences, created websites, provided business development strategies, and social media and email marketing. Previously she worked at HD Supply where she managed event marketing, direct mail and advertising strategies, and The Brain Store where she was the Marketing Communications Manager. She hold a B.A. in Anthropology & Sociology from Davidson College and has furthered her education with courses in graphic design, e-business, and email marketing.
